The Site may be made available under different domain names or regional brands. These Terms apply equally to every version of the Site, regardless of domain name or branding.

2. Intellectual property and ownership

All content on the Site is owned by or licensed to Blackstar Interactive Ltd and is protected by copyright, database rights, and other intellectual property laws. This includes, without limitation:

  • Route and section names, descriptions, summaries, and metadata

  • Videos, video stills, thumbnails, and synchronised route visualisations
  • Graphics, logos, branding, layout, and software used to present the Site

Unless we expressly state otherwise in writing, no ownership or licence is granted to you beyond the limited right to view the Site for personal, non-commercial use while these Terms remain in force.

3. Restrictions on use

You must not copy, reproduce, download, scrape, harvest, mirror, frame, or redistribute any part of the Site or its content without our prior written consent.

In particular, you must not:

  • Copy, reuse, modify, adapt, translate, or create derivative works from routes, sections, videos, maps, or other Site content

4. Video content

Videos shown on the Site may be owned by us or embedded from third-party platforms. All video content displayed in connection with RideGuide is provided for viewing on the Site only.

You must not download, record, re-upload, redistribute, edit, or otherwise reuse Site videos or synchronised video-route pairings except as expressly permitted by us in writing.

5. Route suitability and safety disclaimer

Outdoor riding is inherently risky. Conditions on the ground change frequently because of weather, maintenance, land management, seasonal closures, traffic, wildlife, and other factors we cannot control or predict.

We do not guarantee that any route or section shown on the Site is open, legal, safe, or suitable for you or your equipment. You are solely responsible for deciding whether to attempt any route or section and for your own safety while doing so.

Nothing on the Site constitutes professional advice, instruction, or a recommendation that you should ride any particular trail, section, or line.

6. Difficulty grading disclaimer

Any difficulty grade, trail classification, or descriptive label on the Site is entirely subjective. It reflects our editorial judgement at the time of publication and may not match your skills, fitness, experience, bike setup, or tolerance for risk.

Grading can differ significantly from other sources, from your own assessment, or from conditions on the day. You must carry out your own research, check current local information, and ride within your abilities.

Do not rely on Site grading as a substitute for personal judgement, local knowledge, or appropriate training.

7. Accuracy of information

We aim to keep the Site accurate and up to date, but we do not warrant that any route, map, elevation profile, timing estimate, video sync point, or other information is complete, correct, or current.

You should verify access rights, permitted use, opening times, and local rules with landowners, land managers, and official sources before riding.

8. Third-party services and links

The Site may include embedded content or links to third-party websites and services (for example map tiles or video platforms). We are not responsible for third-party content, availability, policies, or practices.

Your use of third-party services may be subject to their own terms and privacy policies.

9. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Site. This includes attempting to gain unauthorised access, interfering with the Site's operation, introducing malicious code, or using the Site in any unlawful manner.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Blackstar Interactive Ltd shall not be liable for any loss, injury, damage, claim, or expense arising from your use of the Site or from your decision to ride any route or section described on the Site.

This includes, without limitation, indirect or consequential loss, loss of profits, personal injury, property damage, or death, whether arising in contract, tort (including negligence), or otherwise, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such loss.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

11. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Blackstar Interactive Ltd from any claims, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the Site.

12. Changes to the Site and these Terms

We may update the Site and these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page shows when these Terms were last revised.

Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the Site.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence require otherwise.
